About me 

25+ years of supporting careers and businesses

I bring over 25 years HR and learning experience across a range of sectors.  Most recently in the charity sector and I am currently the CEO of the Charities HR Network giving me exceptional insight and networks. However, I also have significant experience in the NHS, financial services and outsourcing.

Working at a strategic level I have supported businesses to shape their people strategies and build their HR capability.  I can also help with some of those trickier people issues including investigations and managing performance when discretion and pragmatism are needed.

Our Approach

The most important aspect of resolving people challenges in any business is to get advice and support that you can actually use. I make certain by understanding your business and the nature of the issues that you and your team can actually implement the proposed solutions and that they will work for you.

People are, of course, your most important asset so better understanding how to manage, deploy and motivate them is critical. Having worked in, and with, many businesses I understand your people and how the help you to get the best from them.

With over 25 years experience, the last 10 at Head of/senior practitioner level, I can help you understand and frame the people challenges for your business.  Whether it be talent development, building the EVP, engagement or turnover I will work alongside your senior team to understand the challenges and frame a strategic solution that works for your business.

Dispute Resolution

Navigating people challenges is one of the most complex parts of any modern business now matter how big or small you are.  We can help to support you in understanding the right process to follow and how to find a solution that works for you and your business.  We don't start from what 'you can't do that' - we start from 'how do we resolve this' and move on.

Building your HR capacity and capability

So much of my career to do date has been working with business small and very large to understand what a good HR function looks like for that business.  Whether it be building business partnering and centres of excellence or generalists, I can advice and support you as look to right-size your HR function.

Organisational change

Managing change is a critical challenge. Whether you are unionised or not I can support building and delivering a process that facilitates the change that you want to make. Again it's not aboput what you can't do it's about agreeing a plan that moves your business forward and makes sure that any people leaving do so with dignity and the people staying with you can move forward.
